Christmas Time Is Here!

The red and green decorations adorn Department Stores, Street Lights, and homes on every street, the silver and the gold ornaments too. Yes Christmas Time is certainly here. I hear carols being sung by children, and enjoy every familiar line. The sacred traditions still bring comfort to my soul. I remember past days of parties and family gatherings, and look forward to freshly baked treats and holiday meals with family and friends yet again. The tales of Santa still make me grin. I love to remember my days of anticipation as a young child, and the many letters I addressed to The North Pole. The Christmas plays, the choral concerts, the costumes, and the parties...so many memories to reflect upon today. Then as my children came along, the added bliss of seeing their excitement and joy each new Christmas season. I still see the look in their eyes as they see the Tree go up, and the decorations throughout the house. I see them in their concerts, plays, and help with their parties. So much joy this season offers to our lives. As I consider all the things about this Season I enjoy the most, I cannot help but especially appreciate the real meaning of this Special Time of year. It is that God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) I am so thankful for the Christ child that was sent to us so long ago. His love still fills the earth, and His peace still brings comfort to us. Jesus is the greatest gift I've ever received. I believe in Him. I know He is truly the Savior of the World to those who believe in Him. His presence is the best present. He is the Spirit of love, peace, goodness, and hope,....and Christmas.
